Annual Bucks for Books Scholarship

Each year the Friends of the Walker Library are pleased to provide a $1000 scholarship to one Westbrook High School Senior for books and other supplies for fall or winter semester.  We are now accepting applications for 2023.  The deadline is May 5, 2023

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a patron of the Walker Memorial Library with an account in good standing

  • Preference will be given to the applicant who has worked, volunteered, helped with library programs, or attends the library regularly

  • Write a letter explaining where you will be attending college, what you plan to study, and how the library has benefitted you or a good memory of the library. Please include with our application, your telephone number, email address, home address, along with the following stated: My library card is:*******. I am authorizing Walker Memorial Staff to verify I am a patron in good standing with your signature.

    Applications that do not the above statement with current library card will not be considered.
